Our main operational vehicle, dedicated to serving U.S. military veterans since 2012, was recently vandalized.&nbsp;The damage is an immediate and catastrophic loss to our missions, and therefore the veterans and communities that we serve, as it served as a mobile operational base.We have used this vehicle to transport veterans in need to hospital appointments, food and clothing access points and even to move into new apartments [after getting our homeless veterans off of the streets].This, coupled with our disaster assistance program, have run for fourteen (14) years and the vehicle became a recognizable flag-bearer in our veteran and community efforts. Then, in late June of 2026, someone chose to heavily graffiti the vehicle with political and racial words and then poured a non-gasoline substance (oil based) into the fuel tank: which destroyed the fuel tank, fuel lines and motor.The total estimate to get the vehicle fixed was at $17,000, not including window replacement: which is not feasible for our organization.
