Your gift to the Village Lions General Fund keeps rugby open and welcoming to all 🏉Village Lions Rugby Football Club has played rugby in New York City since 1989, when the club was founded out of the Red Lion pub in Greenwich Village. We field six sides, men's and women's+ 15s, men's and women's 7s, and two veterans sides, alongside the Lion Cubs youth program. Players from more than 40 nations have worn the hoops. Every contribution, at any level, supports teamwork, sportsmanship, and a growing rugby community 💛The general fund covers what it costs to put those sides on a pitch: permits at safe and accessible fields, referee fees, essential equipment, van rentals, and travel to tournaments as the club climbs divisions. Dues, sponsorship and ticketed events do not cover all of it, and the cost of running a club in this city keeps rising. Donations close the gap, which is what lets us keep dues affordable and the club open to anyone who wants to play. Village Lions RFC is a 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation is tax deductible.
