Violet was born with a VERY rare genetic mutation in the CDH2 gene. At the time that she was diagnosed there were only 9 other known cases in the world. Violet was number 10.&nbsp;Since then, more children have been diagnosed, but the number of cases is still less than 100 people! It has since been given the name ACOG syndrome.&nbsp; Violet&rsquo;s ACOG syndrome has caused missing white matter in her brain, which in itself causes multiple challenges. One challenge it causes her is to have very poor balance, resulting in falls, hitting her head often. Sometimes when she bumps her head, even gently, it causes her to lose consciousness and stop breathing.&nbsp; A mobility service dog would help provide stability to Violet to help decrease these instances of falling.&nbsp; Unfortunately, the cost of obtaining and training a certified service dog is typically very high. &nbsp;Service dogs require extensive specialized training and ongoing care, which comes with a significant financial commitment. &nbsp;This amazing opportunity came up very unexpectedly for us, and due to the extensive training needed for a service dog, we are asking for the community&rsquo;s help. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Please consider helping us raise funds to give Violet access to this wonderful opportunity that will provide her the support, safety, and &nbsp;companionship she deserves.
