Through trauma-informed storytelling, personal development, creative writing, filmmaking, music, and audio production, incarcerated participants build practical media skills while learning to examine their own stories, collaborate with others, and create work with purpose.&nbsp;Media production is not simply the end product - it is part of the intervention. The process of creating asks participants to develop communication skills, accountability, confidence, creative discipline, and a stronger sense of who they want to become. Our goal is to prepare people for life beyond incarceration with transferable workforce skills, relationships, purpose, and real opportunities to contribute - while also changing who gets to shape the public narrative about incarceration.The impact happens on two levels: the process changes the creators, and the stories change the audience. Through podcasts, films, music, and other media created with people inside, public audiences encounter incarcerated people not simply as subjects of a story, but as writers, journalists, producers, filmmakers, musicians, and creative collaborators. For the 95% of incarcerated people who will eventually return to our communities, the question is simple: would we rather they come home with employment skills, stronger relationships, confidence, purpose, and support - or without them?
