The Welcome Home Project is a living archive using the power of storytelling to heal, educate, and preserve the truth of what war leaves behind. It honors veterans&#39; voices by capturing the deeply personal, often untold individual stories that emerge in the wake of war. We begin with the Vietnam War, one of the most divisive and misunderstood conflicts in American history, to illuminate the inner lives of those who served exploring the journey of reintegration: the struggles with identity, trauma, healing, and finding purpose again in civilian life. Our lens expands to include veterans from Iraq, Afghanistan, Desert Storm, and beyond, tracing how the experience of war has changed, and how it hasn&rsquo;t.
