What The Mountains Forgot is a fantasy film composed of four interconnected stories inspired by Appalachian legends, ghost stories, and local histories. Created by local artists, the film presents Appalachia not as a backdrop, but as an epic cinematic landscape—beautiful, haunted, resilient, and alive in ways American film has rarely captured. Not only is the film fully scripted and in pre-production, but our team has already successfully produced one of the film segments, "River Maid." Your donations help us continue this work as we pitch the remaining segments to potential production partners.
