Zoro has been through more than any dog should. A week ago he was returned to us by his adopter, for the second time. Now he's at the emergency vet. Zoro has had diarrhea for three days, and it has turned to straight blood. He's been vomiting too. The ER team is running a full blood panel, electrolytes, an ultrasound and a GI panel to find out what's wrong. He may have a stomach condition that needs further testing and evaluation. The estimate for this visit alone is $1,636.83, and that's before any follow-up care he may need. Zoro isn't a "regular" dog. He has separation anxiety and needs an impact crate to stay safe when his people leave. That has cost him two homes, and none of it is his fault. He's a sweet, loving boy who needs people who won't give up on him. We won't. We know we've asked a lot of you lately. We're a small, foster-based rescue with no shelter and no way to plan for emergencies like this one. Every dollar donated here goes directly to Zoro's veterinary care. If you can't give, please share. It helps just as much. Thank you for standing with Zoro. 🐾 Together We Rescue Detroit Animals is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 41-4356425). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
