ABOUT THE "HOPE FOR ALL" FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Birth defects, including neural tube defects (NTDs), are a leading cause of child mortality, affecting approximately 8 million babies worldwide each year (WHO 2023). Despite these staggering statistics, NTDs remain under-discussed, particularly among younger generations.

Natalie Osorio, a Hispanic high school student in New York (those of Hispanic descent have a higher incidence of NTDs), and her friend Jasmine Liu, a rising senior in Massachusetts, were alarmed by the prevalence of NTDs and the lack of awareness.Motivated to make a difference, they founded NeuraHope, a 501(c)(3) youth organization dedicated to raising awareness of birth defects, with a focus on NTDs. To further this mission, NeuraHope has partnered with The Sunshine Youth, a global organization committed to enhancing children's well-being worldwide, to launch the fundraising campaign "Hope For All." Many members of both communities have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by families affected by congenital diseases, often lacking the resources for proper medical care.

OUR MISSION

The "Hope For All" campaign aims to provide critical support to families grappling with congenital diseases by ensuring access to essential medical care. Our goal is simple yet profound: to empower every child, regardless of circumstance, to thrive and lead a healthy life.

WHERE YOUR DONATIONS GO

All funds raised through "Hope For All" will directly support Children's Surgery International, a nonprofit organization facilitating life-changing surgical treatments for children with congenital diseases. They conduct mission trips several times a year, reaching families in underdeveloped countries like Liberia, Ethiopia, Haiti, and Tanzania.
