Entrepreneurship can be a pathway out of poverty, but many entrepreneurs need support.</h4> These workshops help participants work together to explore their ideas through the Canvas, learn how to refine their models through meaningful customer feedback and define the next steps. The #1 reason small businesses fail is a lack of product-market fit. We use the lean startup method to help our alumni avoid this common pitfall by starting small, failing fast, and doing extensive work on customer discovery before they invest too much money in a solution to a problem no one has. We guide them through this process using the Canvas, our version of the beloved lean startup canvas. Programs are designed to be accessible to someone with zero business background. So while they’re beginner-friendly, seasoned entrepreneurs can greatly benefit from our programs. This is because our programs don’t so much teach business concepts as they lead entrepreneurs through an active process of testing and refining their business models. We like to say that our programs are for any entrepreneur who is stuck! LET'S GET IT BOOT CAMP This four-part intensive boot camp provides entrepreneurs with the business basics. Through hackathon-style peer collaboration over two days, this intent challenges them, stretches their thinking, and gives them concrete tools to bring their businesses to life. LET'S GET IT LAUNCHED Our foundational offering is a cohort-based program designed for 10–12 weeks that equips entrepreneurs of all kinds with the insights, relationships, and tools needed to turn ideas into action. Throughout the program, participants develop and fine-tune their ideas, critically examining every part and determining the next steps through real-time feedback from people in the community. What Participants GainOur programs and tools are designed to help starters: ● Have a safe place to share, experiment, fail, and learn together. ● Learn how to ask the right questions to better identify and address key issues. ● Understand WHY specific business activities matter, HOW they fit together, and WHETHER they are relevant to their situation. ● Connect with people and resources who can help them make progress. ● Find accountability to accomplish their goals. ● Identify the most critical activities to focus on going forward and know their next step.
