My name is Camila Alejandra Wilson. I was born on December 24th, 1996, at 7:30pm. I am the CEO and Founder of EarthThreads International and EarthThreads Life Safety Academy. I started my nonprofit start-up, EarthThreads International, after living in Guatemala for 6 months. I grew up visiting my family there and wanting to make a difference in the things that I saw around me, the very problems I refused to ignore or accept as normal, like river pollution and plastic trash entering the oceans.  So, in 2019, I dedicated myself to one annual fundraising project, raising donations for established charities and ministries tackling the world's biggest issues, for the next ten years until I achieved my goal: designing a fundraising gala world tour to celebrate the 2020's and the difference we made in the world as an organization, by donating a facility for waste management and sustainable transportation solutions in Guatemala, and working directly with the municipalities to make lasting change to help improve Guatemala's environmental and human health impact.  During the first 5 years I began to focus on completing my certification training in yoga, mixed martial arts/group fitness and First Aid/CPR instruction, all while gaining authentic wilderness experience, in the honest pursuit of my childhood dream to summit Mount Everest in the name of world peace and explore the world's temples, mountains and holy sights. Since then, I have climbed the tallest peaks in Central America and explored mountain ranges in Nepal. My goal is to continue around the world. Tallest peaks in Colorado, Europe, South America, so on and so forth.  Until I have realized that goal, I train over 14 hours a week, all while I am continuing my education with Newlane University and the University of Houston Downtown, building EarthThreads International, my 501c3 Nonprofit dedicated to environmental sustainability and equal inclusion projects, and building a team of CPR Instructors at EarthThreads Life Safety Academy L.L.C., which is our partnership with the American Red Cross to teach Adult and Pediatric First Aid CPR and AED certification training. EarthThreads Life Safety Academy is a Licenced Training Provider for the American Red Cross, and is located in the State of Texas. We provide Adult and Pediatric First Aid CPR and AED certification training around the United States through a blended learning course for childcare providers, wilderness adventurer extraordinaires and instructors alike!  Please help me conquer my dream of building a successful nonprofit initiative dedicated to helping the world reduce plastic waste, spreading the message of equal rights and world peace, and lowering carbon emissions by 2030!  It is my hope that through my own training and certification, I may bring to the world the hope, motivation and inspiration for a future of peace, equal opportunity and global inclusion. I want to prove that even the underdog can come out on top and achieve their goals, and overcome obstacles!RED MED Education hosts training in Guatemala that will include Mountain and Wilderness Rescue Training at 2000-3000m. RED MED Education will also be hosting a course that will include a trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and a MT Lobuche Climb (6119m), as well as the Rescue, Expedition and Disaster Medicine Course. I was an American Red Cross certified lifeguard for 10 years with life-saving experience. I was a national disaster response volunteer for All Hands and Hearts and EarthThreads International's 2023-2024 annual fundraising collaboration project. I have been in childcare for over 15 years, and I have over 6,000 hours in volunteer community service. Not to mention over a decade of swimming and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitions, three years of JROTC and being the captain of our physical fitness teams as a strong foundation to have built upon! • I hope to take this one step further and raise the money for the completion of my education in a Master's in Nonprofit Management and Wilderness Therapy, and in the long-term, to receive my PhD in Yogic Studies and Natural Medicine, and to receive the proper training for real-time emergency response, and support future initiatives in Guatemala, Nepal, and around the world. • My dream is to also raise the money to create a network that helps other individuals develop nonprofits and charities around the world, and volunteers find opportunities through a mobile app that links with live-update and AI search information.  EarthThreads International was originally intended to be a distribution company, based out of Galveston Island, Texas, however, I decided to dedicate my organization and travels to philanthropy work in its first ten years, and in the future steps of our initiative we hope to also incur our own sailboat in order to not only transport artesanal goods, but also transport humanitarian supplies for orphanages and clinics on coasts and in mountains around the world, as we travel the high seas and mountain trails.  Ultimately, in the end, it is my hope and dream for my love and I to have our dream home in Vermont, where we can raise our family, enjoy our enterprise and his art collection and gallery, and tell great stories of the good and fun things we do and have done and will continue to do in the world. ♡ Thank you for joining me on this epic journey.
