Flooding has rendered their preparations for spring planting useless. Once the fields come in contact with sewage, the farmers are not allowed to plant crops for human consumption for at least 60 days after the soil has dried, which also takes considerable time as the rain continues to fall. This means they will not be able to count on any income for at least their first harvest and possibly longer. To add insult to injury, most of the crops these small farmers raise go to our most food-insecure consumers in the community. Berry Good Food is organizing a snap campaign to raise money for these farmers to distribute small grants to those most deeply affected.  Propagate Investment, led by BGF Board member John McCarthy, matched the first $10,000 in donations to get us over the $20K mark.  100% of your donations will go toward these small farm grants.   Watch our interview on <a href="https://youtu.be/kYTSlqQW7Rw" target="_blank">Fox 5 San Diego</a> (English).
