Our mission as an ensemble is to amplify the works of individuals who are largely unheard through community and collaboration, redefining the promotion and presentation of experimental music to create a more sustainable future.Our season opened with the compelling “Portals Between Worlds” concert at The LGBT Center, featuring a world premiere of Paul Novak’s Ornithology of Desire and works by Mario Diaz de Leon, Yaz Lancaster, Euna Joh, Nico Muhly, and Rajna Swaminathan. Looking ahead, we have an innovative performance-art collaboration with ChamberQUEER scheduled for February, followed by a spring season featuring fresh takes on popular songs, including the much-anticipated return of our InfraPop concert. Highlighting the summer, we eagerly anticipate the release of our first full-length album, a collaborative effort with composer and violinist Darian Donovan Thomas. Additionally, we’re excitedly preparing for an upcoming project with composer Susan Botti in the 2024-2025 season.None of this would have been possible without the generous contribution by last year’s donors.
