We are so blessed that we were able to safely remove the cats from the shelter, but the flood has left behind significant damage to our facility. On Sunday night, the volunteers covering the evening shift discovered that floodwater had breached our shelter. Due to the structure of the building, the Fire Department was unable to pump the accumulating water and recommended that we remove our cats ASAP. Our brave volunteers, with the help of friends, family, and neighbors, evacuated the cats as inches of water started to rise throughout the shelter. Most of our rooms are now unusable, essential supplies have been destroyed, and we face mounting repair and replacement costs. The floodwaters not only damaged the shelter infrastructure but also disrupted our daily operations, leaving us in urgent need of resources to restore a safe and comfortable environment for our cats and our volunteers.  How You Can Help: We are launching this fundraising campaign to cover the costs of repairs, replace lost and damaged supplies, and ensure that our shelter can continue to provide the love and care our cats need.
