For years, we've witnessed the magic of our local music scene and its ability to fuel the engine of our economy, enhance the overall well-being of our community, and contribute to our cultural vitality. Now, we stand at a pivotal moment in our journey as a non-profit arts organization. We have a unique opportunity to revive a local treasure that has resonated with music lovers for generations: The Iron Horse.  The Iron Horse, with its rich history and intimate atmosphere, was once the heartbeat of Northampton. In the words of Executive Director, Chris Freeman: “The Iron Horse has been a symbolic and literal heart of music in western Massachusetts since its founding in 1979. The Parlor Room is proud to carry on the tradition of prodigious live music in this legendary venue through a mission based approach. We also recognize that physical accessibility is not enough, and we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone can fully participate in the magic of live music. The Parlor Room Collective also prioritizes accessibility by providing free memberships and scholarships  for students, MassHealth, and EBT recipients. ARTIST FORWARD: Providing a platform for multi-genre emerging and established artists to share their artistry and connect with supportive audiences. ECONOMIC ENGINE: Boosting local businesses and tourism, as the revitalized Iron Horse becomes a destination for local, regional, and national audiences. MUSIC EDUCATION: Expanding access to our educational programs, offering enriching music workshops, lectures, and performances to multigenerational students, while fostering a lifelong love for music through our school of music. WELLNESS: Enhancing the mental health and well-being of our community through access to music based experiences with proven health benefits.  In the words of the Iron Horse’s historic slogan: “Music alone shall live!” OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT<ul><li>Act as an ambassador for the capital campaign by creating your own fundraising team and engaging and encouraging your connections to donate to this campaign!</li><li>Share the campaign with your networks on social media, through emails or in-person to increase awareness and inspire contributions.</li><li>Join our vibrant community and volunteer for Parlor Room Collective events!</li><li>In-Kind donations of goods and services that support Parlor Room Collective programmatic and venue operations.</li><li>Sponsor events or our school of music.</li><li>Include the campaign in your will, trust, or estate plans.
