As you may or may not know, Bruce Draney, who has been instrumental in documenting chess in Nebraska recently was scammed out of money via a PayPal phishing scheme resulting in a significant loss of his savings. Bruce has not only given so much to Nebraska chess as a historian, tournament director, teacher, and participant, but he is also an amazingly kind human being. He has, and will continue to leave a positive impact on Nebraska chess for years to come. SO many of us, Nebraska chess players and non chess players alike, have benefitted directly or indirectly from Bruce's presence. I ask you to give something back to help Bruce recoup some of his losses, and remind him that those who appreciate him far outweigh those who steal from him. Even a contribution of $5 will show Bruce how much he is valued by this chess community. However, if you are financially able, please consider contributing more as Bruce lost a significant amount of his savings due to this scam.  Please note that when you donate, there is an option to change the fee charged to "Other" and then choosing "$0."
