Help support me in SCC! Shawn Kochevar is from Hibbing, Minnesota, where he first developed a love of music and snow. He currently teaches K-4 music at Ozark South Elementary. He received his Bachelor of Music Education from Missouri State University in 2024. Despite being an instrumental major who was in many bands, he fell in love with elementary music and choirs. This led him to get his Kodaly certification, which he plans to become an instructor for after completing his Master of Music Education. In his free time, Shawn likes to compose, rock climb, and play board games and online games with his friends. He and his fiancé plan to one day migrate north into the cold and own many cats.
