We Need Your SupportUnabridged Literary Arts has made incredible progress in just one year: We’ve secured our nonprofit status, established a home in Rochester, NY, and built a foundation for human rights-focused literary programming. Thanks to you, our gala last November was a massive success (and a blast!), and as promised, we used those proceeds to create a community space to house bigger and better events. (In case you missed it, our International Women's Day exhibit, featuring Setara Haidari’s incredible artwork, will be up for a few more weeks!)But nonprofits are struggling now more than ever, especially human rights nonprofits. Nationally, a changing federal climate has threatened arts, literature, and underrepresented communities, while DEI programs are dissolving. Meanwhile, government grants are becoming less available and more restricted -- with some even disqualifying applicants that use words like “female" and “diversity." We’re raising funds to continue the launch of our first year of programming and sustain our community space.
