The students and teachers involved with the Regeneron-Westchester (and Putnam) Science and Engineering Fair (WESEF) could really use your help as a sponsor and/or judge.

WESEF was established in 2001 with 59 high school students from 12 regional high schools in Westchester County and Putnam County, New York. WESEF continues to be the largest high school science fair in the entire country and is proud that we will likely break a new record and register over 750 students for 2025. 

To recognize the hundreds of fantastic, dedicated, motivated students that have carried out graduate level STEM research projects, WESEF rewards approximately 70% of the students with an award. The top 20 projects win a spot to present at the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Columbus, Ohio. ISEF is the “Olympics of Science Fairs” as it brings together over 1,800 students from over 70 countries to present their research to top professionals.

To recognize our wonderful sponsors/charitable donors all winning students must submit information about their project and write a brief note to the sponsor of their award. We send those to the sponsor so that they can be shared throughout the organization.

In order for us to continue providing this type of supportive and motivational experience for students, we’d like to ask YOU to become a part of the growing community that supports this exciting and ever-growing STEM event.  

We are hoping that you and/or your family/company will consider helping by becoming a charitable donor/sponsor and support the efforts of these dedicated, brilliant students with a donation.

Whether it is you, your family or your company that is donating we appreciate your support. WESEF is an official non-profit organization - 501(c)(3), and all donations are tax exempt. 

In addition, many companies may match donations from their employees. Please check with your HR department to see if your gift qualifies for a matching gift and submit a request to maximize the impact of your generosity

Sponsors at the Title, Diamond and Platinum Level ($5,000 and above) have major awards in their name and WESEF items with their name and/or logo on them to be given to all participants and all judges. They are also invited to special WESEF events including the celebration event with the student finalists that will be representing WESEF at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in May. This is in addition to all that listed in the different levels below.

Sponsors at the Gold Level ($2,000 - $4,999) and above are welcome to set up a table at WESEF to share information and/or supply WESEF with information/branded merchandise to be handed out to all participants. The Gold, Platinum and Diamond Donors also have large awards in their name and are highlighted at the WESEF competition and the awards ceremony.

Sponsors at the Silver Level ($500 - $1,999) and above have awards created in their name and are presented at the awards ceremony. In addition to all of the initial recognition from the over 700 students, parents, sponsors and judges, each sponsor receives a compilation of personalized “Thank you” notes written from the WESEF students that won their award. This includes the students title and abstract and is a wonderful way to see the direct impact of your donation.

Sponsors at the Patron Level ($200 - $499) are combined to support one or more awards. They also receive a set of “Thank You” notes, with each sponsor mentioned individually, from the students receiving those awards.

Sponsors at the Friends Level ($25 - $199) are combined to support one or more awards. They also receive a set of “Thank You” notes addressed to the “Friends of WESEF” from the students receiving those awards.
