WAI San Diego

WAI San Diego empowers women in aviation and aerospace through networking, education, mentorship, and scholarships, fostering careers and supporting individuals at every stage of their aviation journey.

Girls in Aviation Day is currently full, but you can still add your name to the waitlist. If a spot opens, we’ll contact you directly using the information you provide here. Hosted by WAI San Diego, this event introduces girls and young women to real aviation careers through hands-on activities and conversations with pilots, engineers, and other professionals. Joining the waitlist helps us plan future events and continue our mission to invest in, build, and inspire the next generation of aviation leaders.

GIAD WAITLIST

Girls in Aviation Day is an annual global initiative founded by Women in Aviation International (WAI) to inspire girls aged 8 to 18 to explore careers in aviation, aerospace, and STEM. The events connect young participants with industry role models, hands-on activities, and aircraft displays. Launched in 2015, the international event has rapidly grown, now drawing tens of thousands of participants worldwide every September. It is held across dozens of countries, with localized events hosted by WAI chapters, aerospace companies, and flight schools at airports and museums. The San Diego Chapter of Women in Aviation will be hosting our annual GIAD on September 19th at the Air Center San Diego at Brown Field Municipal.
