AARC/UUAA supports the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center by raising funds for free legal services for immigrants. Through cultural events like the Latin Music & Dance Fundraiser, they promote community engagement and support for immigrant rights.

Your dollars to the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center (<a fr-original-style="" href="https://michiganimmigrant.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">MIRC</a>) support free legal services for immigrants. Consider an &quot;Additional Donation&quot; for the sake of our immigrant neighbors! Please be generous! The evening includes:&nbsp;<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Paul Vornhagen&rsquo;s award-winning Afro-Cuban jazz band Tumbao Bravo</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">An optional salsa lesson with Mambo Marci from YA Salsa</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">A scrumptious dinner by Pilar&rsquo;s Tamales</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Cash Bar</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">A joyous celebration of Latin culture... while supporting an important cause!</li></ul>Deadline to register is June 6, 2026. This fundraiser for MIRC is co-sponsored by the Ann Arbor Reconstructionist Congregation (AARC) and the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor (UUAA). AARC is processing the donations and will forward them to MIRC. Ticket purchases and donations will appear on credit cards as &quot;MIRC fundraise.&quot; All three organizations are 501(c)3 entities. No portion of the tickets are tax-deductible, but the full amount of any Additional Donations are.
