🎉&nbsp; The 2026 Annual Meeting will feature a morning program on &nbsp; &quot;Education Issues and Innovations at the Local, National, and Global Levels.&quot; Three inspiring speakers will discuss local, state and global issues affecting educational systems that are under political pressure and economic threats:&nbsp;<ul fr-original-style="" id="isPasted" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Eliza Newlin Carney, The Civic Circle, speaking on empowering young people to participate in democracy.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Update of the Maryland Education Blueprint, speaker to be announced.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Giulia McPherson, Global Campaign for Education &ndash; US, speaking on &quot;Global Education at a Crossroads: Access, Equity, and U.S. Leadership.&quot;</li></ul>The afternoon business meeting will be proceeded by election of new officers and time to socialize with speakers and other members over lunch.&nbsp; Excitement is in the air!
