AfterWork Theater makes theater accessible for all by providing inclusive performances and community events. They aim to enrich lives through the arts, fostering creativity and connection among diverse audiences.

The time has come&hellip;It&rsquo;s AWT&rsquo;s first annual Karaoke Night on September 10th, a fundraiser to benefit AWT!&nbsp; This event will be hosted by the acoustic duo T &amp; A, who will be offering <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UeX91GSqBllEs96wlJ_i-chWPbmBvXRm/edit?usp%3Dsharing%26ouid%3D108256804478159350907%26rtpof%3Dtrue%26sd%3Dtrue&sa=D&source=docs&ust=1785859654485058&usg=AOvVaw0mHbLGH4kc_bncD4b9hj6J" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">acoustic karaoke</a> as well as traditional karaoke with recorded tracks. The modest ticket price will include your entry, two raffle tickets, and pizza!&nbsp; Song slips will be available for $1 (karaoke track) or $2 (acoustic track) and we will get to as many as we can throughout the night. Your emailed ticket and receipt will include a link where you can let us know what karaoke tracks you&#39;d like for us to try and have on hand! AWT Karaoke Night (Pay It Forward)

AWT is partnering with CO_LAB Theater Group to offer a community-wide workshop called Sharing the Stage. Developed by CO_LAB participants and staff, this workshop provides a fun, brave, and intentional space to talk about Disability, inclusion, and access with a specific focus on community theater.&nbsp; Why are we asking for a donation for this training? We are asking participants to cover a portion of CO_LAB&rsquo;s fee for the workshop (which has already been discounted for us!). AWT is contributing budgeted funds, as well. Who should attend? (Hint: everyone!)<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">You believe theater should be accessible for all and want to make that a reality</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">You want to learn practical ways to make AWT (or your workplace or community) more inclusive for Disabled folks</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">You wonder if saying &ldquo;Disabled&rdquo; is ok or what language to use&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">You are Disabled and want to hear from other Disabled artists&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">You aren&rsquo;t Disabled but still want to hear from Disabled artists because&hellip; why not!</li></ul>AWT values inclusion and access. We are very excited to offer this training to put those values into action.
