The AKA Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, Inc. is excited to invite you to A Sweet Taste of Summer White Party Experience. We invite you to join us for an afternoon in Hershey at the Purcell Friendship Hall for live jazz, music by DJ Revenue Rich and dancing, and a curated taste of summer food and beverage as we continue celebrating the AKA Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, Inc. 15th Anniversary. Thanks to your generous support, the AKA Foundation of Central Pennsylvania, Inc. can uplift and empower individuals throughout our community through programs dedicated to promoting healthy living, educational growth, economic opportunity, and environmental sustainability. The Grateful Scholars Program provides:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Scholarships to graduating high school and college students enrolled in four-year accredited colleges and universities.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Mentorship for high school students as they navigate their path to higher education.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Dedicated Grateful Scholar Coaches to guide and support first-year college students.</li></ul>The Young Women Ready2Lead Program, open to all middle and high school girls, is a life-changing initiative centered on character development, leadership growth, and practical skill-building through in-person workshops and an annual conference. The program connects participants with community leaders, provides access to valuable resources, and helps young women cultivate skills that will serve them for a lifetime. The It&#39;s About You Community Health &amp; Wellness Expo, held annually at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, stands as the most comprehensive and impactful single-day health and wellness event in the Greater Harrisburg Area. The Expo features four key components: the AKA Health Village, Health Screenings, a Fitness &amp; Nutrition Center, and Community Health &amp; Wellness Resource Exhibitors. The AKA Health Village offers dynamic, informative presentations throughout the day led by physicians and healthcare professionals, including the highly regarded Ask the Doctors panel. Throughout the year, the Foundation also offers programs, resources, and engaging seminars focused on financial literacy, women&rsquo;s health, environmental sustainability, and energy conservation. The Foundation proudly supports Bethesda Women&#39;s Mission, the Camp Curtin YMCA Urban Garden Program, and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
