Alexandria Township Historical Society

The Alexandria Township Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Alexandria Township through the collection of artifacts, documents, and the maintenance of historic sites, fostering community engagement and education.

A Taste of Thousand Islands History invites you to sample favorite historic recipes. The event includes a silent auction, champagne and hors d&#39;oeuvres and will benefit the Alexandria Township Historical Society (Cornwall Brothers Museum).&nbsp;

🎉 Take a step back in time with this in-person glimpse into local history at a gorgeous, well-preserved historical setting that dates back to 1895.&nbsp; In collaboration with Uncle Sam Boat Tours, guests will be welcomed onto the island by Phil, Nancy and Patsy Amsterdam at this popular event, which is now in its 47th year.

Victorian Tea

The Matriarch of a wealthy family is gravely ill and wishing to settle her estate. First, her long lost son must be declared officially dead.That&rsquo;s where the fun begins! Join in as you and the other intensely greedy relatives gather to memorialize &ldquo;Little Dickie&rdquo; and battle for position to receive the lion&rsquo;s share of the family&rsquo;s $13 billion fortune.Be careful at this gathering, however, the next memorial could be for you. Enjoy an evening of dinner and &quot;who-done-it&quot; when the Acme Mystery Company comes to town. Dress up for the occasion if you like, but bring your best sleuthing skills regardless. A cash bar will be available at the performance. Your ticket supports the Alexandria Township Historical Society&rsquo;s work to preserve artifacts, documents, and historic sites in our community. Murder Mystery Dinner Theater

Step aboard for a guided boat tour through Chippewa Bay&rsquo;s rich architectural past. ⛵️🏛️ Local architect Rick Tague will point out distinctive shoreline homes, boathouses, and landmarks, sharing the stories of the people who built and lived in them. Your registration supports the Alexandria Township Historical Society&rsquo;s mission to collect, preserve, and interpret the history of our river communities for students, researchers, and visitors at the Cornwall Brothers Museum.
