A+J Annual Gala Donation

<a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.3amtheatre.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">3AM Theater</a> and <a fr-original-style="" href="https://amandaplusjames.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Amanda+James</a> are partnering to open The Relay Room in The Cigar Factory LIC. The Relay Room will join 3AM&rsquo;s existing studio and theater, as a third place to create, with a focus on technology in performance. In this shared space, artists will have access to technical equipment, projectors, cameras, a greenscreen / photography backdrop, sound booth, and creative community. The Relay Room is a communal space for experimentation and exploration. We are interested in artists who deeply consider the body&rsquo;s relationship to technology and therefore create work that utilizes the tools of sound, video, live projection, to serve the vision and thesis of the piece. Understanding that performance is nothing without rehearsal, Relay Room artists will also have access to 3AM&rsquo;s theater and studio to immediately workshop and test their ideas.&nbsp; We are now looking for support to help with some of our upfront costs! We have much of the technology we need to get the space up and running but will be building a custom truss system for storage and projection / photo screen, custom movable work station for the center of the room, and overall we are really working to make this space both practical and flexible! All donations are fully tax-deductible and will support fun, sexy capital expenses like lumber, projection mounting system, desks, and AC. Your support will truly help bring The Relay Room to life!
