SOPHIA is proud to present its 2nd Annual Harp Showcase and Fundraiser! SOPHIA is a joint organization of the Tucson chapters of the American Harp Society, The Saguaro Chapter, and the International Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsman, The Old Pueblo Harpers. SOPHIA is a touchstone of the Tucson harp community that highlights and expands upon the diverse artistry of all harpists&mdash;providing a nourishing environment to learn and grow for harpists of all levels and backgrounds, and a vehicle for community outreach with the greater Tucson area. We hope you will join us for a magical evening of harp music provided by SOPHIA&#39;s diverse and talented membership. 100% of your ticket purchase goes towards ensuring the growth and security of SOPHIA programming in the future. Which means invaluable support for Tucson&#39;s harp community! Featuring offerings of classical, folk, and popular music. This year&#39;s SOPHIA performers include U of A Alumni Melissa Varga, Mary Bouley of Strike Your Fancy!, Harpist and Thanatologist Hana Halverson, U of A harpist Zoe Johnson featuring Basoonist Oliver Zhao, Mariah McCammond of Hatpin Duo featuring Morgan Valencia on Cello, Ben Alberson, harp professor for the University of Arizona and principle harpist for the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, and the University of Arizona&#39;s HarpFusion! This year&#39;s raffle prizes include two tickets to a Tucson Symphony Orchestra performance, a 60 min massage with a 30 min sound bath from Jessica Cordova LMT, and a gift certificate to the Chicago Music Store!
