The Aurora Fossil Museum, founded in 1976, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Museum ad Inquiry-based Science Education Resource Center.Our mission is to educate the public about paleontology in an enjoyable manner while emphasizing the natural and cultural history of Eastern North Carolina.The Aurora Fossil Museum strives to continue carrying out our mission through providing an admission-free museum and inquiry-based STEM learning in an inclusive, engaging, and enjoyable atmosphere.
