Help Them Find Legal Support When It Matters Most!Approximately 30 Iranian individuals and family members have recently been released from immigration detention. Here in Austin, Casa Marianella is helping provide shelter and support, but release has not ended the uncertainty. For those at risk of removal, getting qualified legal help is an urgent concern.Imagine finally leaving detention, only to face unfamiliar legal documents, approaching deadlines, and the fear of being sent back to a place where you may not be safe. Understanding what to do next can feel overwhelming, especially without an attorney!Through the Iranian Migrant Family Emergency Assistance Program, AIPA is raising funds to help with:-Immigration legal assistance: Case reviews, consultations, and representation from qualified immigration attorneys.-Legal documents and paperwork: Preparing and submitting necessary applications and supporting records, including applicable filing fees.-Translation and documentation: Translating documents and obtaining records needed for legal cases.-Transportation and essential appointments: Helping individuals reach attorneys, court hearings, and required immigration appointments. Our priority is to help those facing urgent deadlines and removal risks access qualified guidance and pursue the legal protections that may be available to them.AIPA has established a dedicated bank account for this effort. Our treasurer will review and approve all expenses, with assistance based on verified needs and available funds. We will publicly share donation totals and an itemized expense report while protecting personal information and confidential case details.Your donation can help someone speak with an attorney, prepare critical paperwork, and face their next step with support instead of facing it alone. Please give what you can and share this campaign. If you are an immigration attorney or can offer qualified translation or other support, please contact info@austinipa.org.
