Bangor Beautiful Inc

Bangor Beautiful Inc is dedicated to enhancing the beauty and livability of Bangor through community engagement, beautification projects, and environmental stewardship, fostering pride and connection among residents.

Help plant a living landmark in Bangor. Use this form to buy a tree that will be planted in our city, adding shade, color, and habitat where neighbors walk, gather, and play. 🌳 Your support goes directly into trees that strengthen Bangor’s public spaces. Together, we’re growing a more beautiful Bangor through art, nature, and everyday places we share. 🌱 This coming October 22nd, we will plant 19 native street trees at Abbot Square, home of the Bangor Farmers' Market.

🎨 Help Bring a Monumental Community Mural to Downtown Bangor! This September, a blank wall in the heart of downtown Bangor will be transformed into a vibrant celebration of our city’s creativity and community. Bangor Beautiful is partnering with the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce and acclaimed Maine artist Rachel Gloria Adams to create a new 67-foot-wide, 40-foot-tall mural at 2 Hammond Street. Rachel’s design incorporates original patterns contributed by five Bangor-area artists, bringing their distinct creative voices together in one monumental work of public art. 🌟 The Community Mural will:

Transform a highly visible downtown gateway

Celebrate local artists and creativity

Create a colorful landmark for residents and visitors

Reflect the collaboration and community pride that make Bangor special

A mural of this scale requires significant resources. Donations will help cover:🎨 Artist and installation costs 🖌️ Paint and specialized mural supplies 🏗️ Equipment needed to safely reach and paint the building 🧱 Wall preparation and other installation expenses Large public art projects are only possible when the community comes together. Whether you contribute $10, $50, $100, or more, your support will help turn an empty wall into something joyful, welcoming, and uniquely Bangor. 💛 Every donation makes a difference. If you cannot donate, you can still help by sharing this campaign with friends, family, local businesses, and anyone who believes in the power of public art. Please help us bring the Community Mural to life and make downtown Bangor even more beautiful! 🌈
