Beit Ahavah Partnership 2025-2026 ~ 5786
The House of Love Welcome! Beit Ahavah בֵּית אַהֲבָה - the Reform Synagogue of Greater Northampton is a joyful, progressive and inclusive spiritual Jewish community affiliated with the Reform movement, a warm and welcoming place for members of all backgrounds. Together we strive to create sacred community, offering many ways to connect with Judaism and the world. We are excited to introduce the Partnership model as our new and evolving paradigm of belonging and investing spiritually and financially as partners in our Jewish community and congregation. The transition from the word “Membership” to “Partnership” is a simple premise: Each of us is part of something greater than ourselves and each of gives something of ourselves to enhance and enrich our exploration of Jewish values, life and traditions. We create participatory musical services, involvement and pathways of connection — meaningful life cycle events and support for times of joy and times of challenge; spiritual, creative learning and pastoral care with our Rabbah Riqi Kosovske; doing projects of Tikkun Olam (healing the world), Tzedek Tzedek (justice, justice) and Chesed (lovingkindness) together; vibrant community and music at the High Holydays and year round Shabbats and holidays; engaging year-round or seasonal committees, celebrations, art and projects; support of the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) and Religious Action Center (RAC) for their resources and leadership trainings; inspiration and resources from the ALEPH Alliance for Jewish Renewal movement, and supportive collaboartions with our local interfaith friends; youth, teens and RUACH learning, Tot Shabbat young families, enriching family education; and opportunities for on-going adult learning, creativity and engagement. Why become a Partner at Beit Ahavah?Beit Ahavah is fueled by the love, talent and creative investment of each of our community members. We care about Shabbat and holiday services that are spiritual, musical and meaningful; and deepening our understanding of the Jewish year cycle in ways that enrich our lives and community. We engage deeply with our rabbi, Rabbah Riqi Kosovske, on so many projects of the heart, services, learning and being in the life of the synagogue, our lives and the world. We offer learning in community, with dynamic youth education programs and services tailored to students and families, creative and supportive B’nei Mitzvah experiences, teen connections, and adult programming and learning. Learning programs and spirituality integrate the arts, healing and justice into learning and community building. We believe we are made stronger through our diversity, welcoming all ages, identities (racial, ethnic, LGBTQ+, gender, ability), and backgrounds (spiritual, economic, etc.). We create and inspire opportunities for Tzedek – justice and Tikkun Olam – transforming and healing the world, guided by the wisdom and mandates of our Jewish tradition. We love being part of the opportunity to be part of a vibrant, relevant and meaningful progressive Jewish community.
