Black Labor Week Project Inc

The Black Labor Week Project empowers marginalized communities through education, advocacy, and organizing, aiming to dismantle economic inequities and promote sustainable opportunities for Black individuals and communities.

It is with great excitement that we invite you to our 16th Annual Black Labor Week, taking place February 15th–19th, 2027, during Black History Month in Hampton, Virginia. This conference is open to ALL International Union standing committees, Labor organizations, community organizations, colleges and universities, students, union members, and allies committed to advancing economic justice, civil rights, worker rights, and community empowerment. For sixteen years, Black Labor Week has celebrated the legacy of those who fought for Civil Rights and Labor Rights while preparing today's leaders to organize for tomorrow. Throughout the week, attendees will participate in workshops, panel discussions, leadership development, community service projects, student engagement, networking opportunities, and our signature Ray Jackson Celebration of Civil Rights Awards Gala. Our mission remains committed to reshaping the narrative in marginalized communities by building collective power to dismantle economic inequities and expand access to sustainable opportunities for Black and marginalized communities. Through organizing, education, community service and advocacy, we empower individuals and communities to strengthen civic engagement, while creating paths to eliminate generational economic trauma through inclusive action. We look forward to welcoming you to Hampton as we honor our history, strengthen our Movement, and build the future together. Thank you for your continued commitment to justice, solidarity, and service. If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail us at unapologetic@blwproject.org.
