He is 8 years old, has special needs, and was born with a heart condition his mother didn&rsquo;t know of until months ago. He lives with his sweet mother and sister and loves learning and dancing. We believe God has a beautiful plan and purpose for his life. Since receiving the opportunity to attend school through Born to Shine and SCDI in January, Andrea has been thriving. Because of financial hardship, his family has never been able to afford the specialized medical care and medication he needs. Over the past several months, his condition has worsened. After seeing a heart specialist, Andrea was told he urgently needs heart surgery. His family will travel from Arusha to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where he will receive the procedure he needs. They are in need of $4,000 This surgery is something Andrea&rsquo;s family could never afford on their own. Your gift will help cover the full cost of his surgery (the portion not covered by the insurance we have given him), his family&rsquo;s travel expenses, and his recovery care. More than that, it will lift an overwhelming burden from his mother and give Andrea the opportunity to return to school, continue learning, and pursue the future God has for him with a healthy heart! When we first told Andrea&rsquo;s mother that he would be able to attend school, she was moved to tears because she never imagined it would be possible. Today, we have another opportunity to stand beside this family, ease an impossible burden, and remind them they are not alone. We are believing for complete healing, a successful surgery, and a quick recovery.
