Bravo's Kindred Canines provides Diabetic Alert Dogs to children with diabetes, ensuring they have a life-saving companion. Through fundraising and community support, they aim to empower families and enhance the quality of life for kids managing diabetes.

Mason was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes just before his 2nd birthday. Now, at only 4 years old&mdash;before even stepping foot into kindergarten&mdash;he has already lived through moments that would break most grown adults. He has known fear in a way no child should. He has known pain far too early. He has faced trauma he should never have had to face. He should be learning how to tie his shoes, how to draw stick figures, how to swing in the backyard. Instead, he has learned how to be brave. Daily finger pokes. Pod changes that make him cry. Alarms blaring at 2 a.m., 3 a.m., 4 a.m. CGM failures that leave everyone guessing if he&rsquo;s safe or in danger. He&rsquo;s too young to understand why his body betrays him&mdash;but old enough to be afraid of what happens when it does. He hesitates to change his clothes because he fears ripping off his CGM. Imagine being four years old and being scared just to get dressed.&nbsp; And behind him are his parents&mdash;two people who haven&rsquo;t slept a full night in years. They tiptoe into his room to check if he&rsquo;s breathing. They prick his tiny fingers in the dark. They hold their breath every time his CGM fails. They&rsquo;ve lived with the constant terror of &ldquo;What if we don&rsquo;t catch the next low in time?&rdquo; They&rsquo;re not just tired. They&rsquo;re terrified. Terrified of losing the child they love more than life itself. They deserve to watch their little boy run without fear, laugh without devices, sleep without alarms. They deserve to see him be a child again. And he deserves that more than anything.&nbsp; A diabetic alert dog could change everything. These incredible dogs can detect dangerous lows and highs. They can alert his parents in the night. They can give him comfort when he&rsquo;s scared, stability when the disease overwhelms him, and safety when every tool has failed. A diabetic alert dog could give him back pieces of the childhood he has missed. It could give his parents their first moment of real peace in years.
