Founded by Anna Sarao in 2000 as a grassroots fundraiser for the dance community, BustAGroove was built on a simple but powerful belief: dance has the ability to bring people together, inspire lives, and create opportunities for future generations. That spirit continues to define Body Rock today.This year, we are especially honored to celebrate Anna Sarao, whose vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment have helped shape generations of dancers. Anna has long been a champion of community over competition, and her impact reaches far beyond the stage. Through her leadership, she has created platforms that not only showcase talent but also foster mentorship, creativity, and personal growth within the dance community.One of the most meaningful extensions of that vision is Body Rock Juniors, which was created to provide young dancers with an opportunity to experience the same sense of community, artistry, and teamwork that has made Body Rock so influential. Body Rock Juniors has become a space where the next generation of dancers can build confidence, develop their skills, and connect with others who share a passion for movement and expression. For many dancers, it serves as an introduction to the values that define the broader Body Rock community—respect, dedication, creativity, and unity.As President of the Breakthrough Dance Foundation, it is an incredible privilege to celebrate Anna’s legacy and the lasting impact she continues to have on dancers of all ages.
