Calm Clinic and Caravan

Calm Clinic and Caravan provides accessible acupuncture and wellness services to the community, promoting healing and holistic health. They aim to enhance well-being through education, outreach, and engaging events like fundraisers.

Join us for an afternoon of live music, community acupuncture, and good company at Fork in the Alley. Featuring performances by The Phat Anchovies and Circus Child, this family-friendly street party brings together music, community, and connection while raising funds for the Calm Clinic and Caravan, Roanoke&rsquo;s newest community acupuncture clinic. Enjoy live music, community acupuncture, a raffle, and a vibrant summer atmosphere while helping make affordable acupuncture more accessible in our region. The Reset Set • Street Party

Join us for an evening of deep rest, soothing sound, and gentle acupuncture. Settle into Maplewood&rsquo;s calming space as immersive sounds fill the room and 5 Needle Protocol ear acupuncture helps quiet the mind, release tension, and support nervous system balance. This experience is designed to offer a pause from the busyness of daily life and create space to simply rest. Space is limited to help create a comfortable and restorative atmosphere. What to bring:&bull; Yoga mat, floor cushion, or other comfortable seating&bull; Blanket and pillow&bull; Water bottle&bull; Anything else that helps you feel cozy Tickets: $35 Proceeds support the opening of the Calm Clinic and Caravan&rsquo;s community acupuncture clinic, helping expand access to affordable acupuncture in our region. Sound + Settle

Sweet Alignment at Evie&rsquo;s Bistro and Bakery Align your energy and treat yourself to something sweet. In this hands-on workshop, you&rsquo;ll learn how to find and stimulate ear acupressure points connected to chakra balance. We&rsquo;ll guide you through placing your own acupressure beads, and you&rsquo;ll head home with beads in place and a take-home chart to keep exploring. Your participation directly supports the Calm Clinic and Caravan&rsquo;s mission, making acupuncture accessible through compassionate care and meaningful community connection.

In mid-August, we learned that funding for two of our monthly Wellness Rodeos will end after September. These stops, serving the Rescue Mission area in Roanoke and Bedford through our partnership with Probation &amp; Parole, have become consistent points of free care, connection, and community resources. We don&#39;t want that support to disappear simply because the funding did. It costs approximately $500 to bring one Wellness Rodeo into the community.At every stop, the Calm Clinic &amp; Caravan provides free 5 Needle Protocol (5NP) acupuncture, a simple, non-verbal treatment used to support stress, anxiety, recovery, sleep, and nervous system regulation. Treatments are available at no cost to community members, as well as the staff and community workers who spend their days caring for others. But a Wellness Rodeo is about much more than acupuncture. We coordinate with a network of more than 30 community partners to bring services and resources together in places where people already are. Our partners are invited to join us at each Rodeo to connect directly with the community. When they can&#39;t attend, we help bring their resources with us. That may mean arriving with Narcan, diapers and wipes, hygiene kits, Medicaid information, recovery resources, health information, or connections to other local services. The goal is simple: if someone comes to us for acupuncture, they should also have an opportunity to connect with other resources that can support their health and well-being. Your donation helps cover the practitioners and staff providing free care, acupuncture and program supplies, transportation, outreach, partner coordination, and the behind-the-scenes work required to bring these services directly into the community each month. $25 helps provide supplies for free treatments.$50 helps bring care and resources directly into the community.$100 helps support the staffing and coordination behind a Wellness Rodeo.$250 funds half of one stop.$500 sponsors an entire Wellness Rodeo for one month.$6,000 keeps one monthly Wellness Rodeo in the community for a full year. Our goal is to raise enough to keep both of these monthly stops going for the next year. Students in this training are taught the 5NP (5 Needle Protocol), also known as Acudetox or The NADA Protocol ~ The practice of applying fine gauge, sterilized, one-time use stainless steel needles at five designated points in each ear, where they remain for 30-45 minutes while the person relaxes quietly in a comfortable chair, often in a group setting.
