Become A Casa Caracol Community Care Comrade
DONATE OR VOLUNTEER TO BECOME A MEMBER TODAY!Casa Caracol’s Membership helps sustain a generative, creative & courageous space where BIPOC communities across intersections can be heard, encouraged and inspired to connect, imagine and build towards a liberated future for all. At Casa Caracol we want to help create a world where the intrinsic symbiosis of land and people is acknowledged and centered in all our creative and healing work, and we want to operate outside of the speed of capitalism because we believe that this way of being (that our ancestors understood) is the only way to create a sustainable future that allows communities and the land they inhabit, to heal and go from surviving, to thriving. By becoming a member, you support programs, like- Our Cuatro Milpas Garden project where we teach community to grow their own food and make their own medicine utilizing culturally relevant practices rooted in ancestral traditions. - Our Bi-monthly open mics where BIPOC community can share their creative work in a space where they feel safe and included. - Readings that uplift BIPOC voices and narratives.- Full Moon and New Moon gatherings, that provide time for reflection, meditation, self care, joy and creative practice in community.- Our Raiz Gallery space that features the work of Queer & BIPOC creatives.- Our Mutual aid station that provides essential items and food to low income and unhoused community. - Event space that is used by community members to meet and organize for their needs, sharing of resources or creative programming. - Our Books For Youth In Durango Detention Center Program that provides books for incarcerated youth.- And sooo much more.
