Charleston Black Pride

Charleston Black Pride promotes visibility, empowerment, and celebration of Black LGBTQ+ communities through events and advocacy, fostering unity and cultural pride while addressing social justice issues.

Underground Mic: Charleston Nights Join Charleston Black Pride and Prince Zachary Williams to celebrate spoken word, music, and culture. Funds raised will support Charleston Black Pride. This event is an intimate space for Black LGBTQ+ voices to be heard, seen, and celebrated 🏳️‍🌈. Share your poetry, music, storytelling, or comedy in a room that honors who you are, on and off the mic. Hosted by Kristen Mclaurin the evening will feature music by DJ Bigmeech Homie and performances by A$hley Jayy, Geechee Boy Dread, Keon, Georgia Nubia, Kiani Perkins, The O, Meechie Vega, Sunset Black, Arilyn McKelvry, Amaru, Brittany Shaimoonlion Jones, and Indi’Gxlo.
