At the Door Ticket for Old St. Mary Tour

It's your chance to step inside the Old St. Mary/CCA building, see and learn about this magnificent building's past and present AND support the Parks & Pathways Sustainability Fund! As part of the Chelsea Chamber's HomeTown Halloween line up, owners Dave & Cynthia Burgoyne will share the amazing living spaces they've eclectically created, decorated, curated. From vintage lighting and furniture to the iconic 007 wall mural, you'll be wowed! Learn about the ghosts, the fire, the rooms! And bonus, you'll enjoy their unique seasonal decorations - themed Dark Academia...with a little Harry Potter and Edgar Allen Poe thrown in! The Burgoyne's purchased the 1925 Academic Gothic Revival styled building in 2016. From 1926 to 1968, it was the home of the St. Mary Catholic School. In 1998, actor Jeff Daniels bought the building for use by the Chelsea Center for the Development of the Arts. The Purple Rose Theatre also used the gymnasium area for rehearsals. The Chelsea Center for the Development of Arts closed in 2014. The owners invited you to enjoy a self-guided tour. Dave and Cyntha and neighbors will be on hand to help show and tell. Your registration supports the Parks & Pathways Sustainability Fund, a new partnership between Chelsea Area Friends for Recreation and the Main Street Park Alliance to help support major projects that will keep all Chelsea parks updated.
