The Chinese American Parents Association HCHS fosters community, cultural pride, and educational support for Chinese American families. They organize events like the Lunar New Year Lantern Festival to celebrate traditions and strengthen family bonds.

As a special benefit for CAPA members, we&rsquo;re holding a raffle to celebrate our Hunter community and support the school! Between 03/27/2026&nbsp;and midnight 03/30/2026, you have a chance to enter a free raffle per family. &nbsp;On or shortly after 3/30/2026, we&rsquo;ll randomly draw TEN&nbsp;lucky families&mdash;each winning family will receive one discounted ticket ($50) to the Annual <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.hunterpta.org/product/annual-spring-auction-gala-2026/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">PTA Spring Auction Gala</a> on May&nbsp;8, 2026 at the iconic&nbsp;<a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.tavernonthegreen.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Tavern on the Green</a>. This year&#39;s theme is &quot;Secret Garden&quot;.&nbsp;Please note the event is Adult Only.&nbsp; Original Early Bird tickets are $150/pp&nbsp;with prices increasing to $250 after April 1st.&nbsp;Each&nbsp;winning family is responsible for paying&nbsp;$50 with CAPA subsidizing the rest.&nbsp; This event is an extraordinary night mingling with friends old and new, while bidding for fantastic items in our auctions, including culinary, cultural, educational, and travel experiences, during our online silent auction and in our live auction. It&rsquo;s a night for celebration and giving back to our beloved Hunter community! Each CAPA family may enter once. 2026 Lunar New Year Lantern Festival Gala

CAPA is thrilled to host a private screening of Rosemead &mdash; starring Lucy Liu &mdash; followed by an intimate panel discussion with the film&rsquo;s production and cast team. Hear first-hand how the story came to life, from on-set moments to creative decisions that shaped the film. Rosemead, a film 7 years in the making, is based on a true story in a town called Rosemead in CA. An ailing immigrant mother took an unimaginable measure to protect her teenager son with mental illness.&nbsp; It&#39;s truly remarkable work by Asian American artists, producers and investors.
