Circulo De Poetas And Writers

LXCL:Círculo de poetas &amp; Writers is a community of authors dedicated to the creation, promotion, and dissemination of multilingual multicultural poetry and prose through workshops, publications, and public presentations. Founded in 2015, the organization encourages diverse voices and is open to new and established writers. BLACK, AAPI, Indigenous&nbsp;peoples--we stand with you in solidarity--Tu lucha es mi lucha.&nbsp;Círculo de poetas &amp; Writers stands in solidarity with all BIPOC communities.

The <a fr-original-style="" href="https://circulowriters.com/conference" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">C&iacute;rculo conference</a> takes place on TWO days--one in person &amp; one online. For 2026, the in-person conference will take place on Saturday, August 15th, at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.santacruzmah.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">(the MAH)</a> in Santa Cruz, California, while the online conference will happen the following Saturday, August 22nd, via Zoom. Participants may attend both days or just one.&nbsp; Both dates include breakout sessions where participants can generate poetry and prose. Every workshop is open to all writers, from those just starting their writing journey to published authors. &nbsp;<a fr-original-style="" href="https://circulowriters.com/conference" id="isPasted" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">(Go to our website for the full workshop descriptions!)</a> We believe in celebrating our veteranx writers right now as they continue to create and write. In poetry, they can work as a hidden current, giving a single image or line the weight of a collective story. When a writer taps into an archetype, the symbol carries mythic associations, emotional depth, and a built‑in narrative arc, all of which can turn a brief stanza or chapter into a vivid, resonant whole. Through our generative writing, we will explore the timeless power of archetypes through the vivid symbols of the Tarot&rsquo;s Major Arcana. Over four quarterly sessions, we will move from theory to practice, using the cards as a toolbox for character and story development, plot structure, and thematic depth.
