Orchestral accompaniment is a vital part of presenting quality choral programming, but it is also one of our major expenses. This fund provides an ongoing reservoir to offset the costs associated with our instrumental colleagues.This fund is named in honor of Stephen Mitchell in celebration of his 20th year as Artistic Director of our community chorus. Throughout his tenure, Stephen has enriched our chorus in many ways, but especially by enhancing the quality of difficulty of our repertoire. Through the years Stephen has prioritized building strong relationships with the talented musicians at UGA and throughout the Athens area, allowing us to present the remarkable concerts our audiences have come to expect.
