COATES INC eliminates the barriers to access and equitable services by engaging youth in one of three programs. The Jump Start Program serves students in grades 9-10. The Exploration Program engages 11th and 12 graders. Our College and Career Mobile Office serves middle school through high school students.<h1>TARGET POPULATION</h1><ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Students in Gary, Hammond, Portage, and East Chicago</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Special emphasis on first generation college students</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Students from underserved communities that qualify for free or reduced school lunch.</li></ul><h1>KEY PROGRAMS</h1>JUMPSTARTThrough the Jumpstart Program students are be exposed to various career paths, educational opportunities, life skills and community service. When you give, you put underserved students on the Road to Success academically, economically, and in leadership. Students not only graduate from high school, the graduate to a life that they never thought possible. In March 2024 we launched our “Road to Success” Campaign to “jumpstart” our annual fund. Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 by March 2025. In February of 2024 the Ichigo Foundation generously provided a lead gift of $100,000.
