Coding In Color

Coding In Color empowers underrepresented communities by providing access to coding education and resources, fostering diversity in tech. Their mission is to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive in the digital world.

AI Academy: Reboot&nbsp;is a 10-week virtual cohort designed for adults, parents, and professionals starting from wherever they are &mdash; even zero. The program begins with the fundamentals most courses skip: how computers actually work, how to stay safe online, and how the internet moves information. From that foundation, participants build into AI itself &mdash; what it is, how to use tools like ChatGPT and Claude confidently, the ethics and real-world impact of the technology, and how to put AI to work in their jobs, businesses, and households. Each cohort meets live once a week for 60 minutes with a Coding in Color instructor, in a small-group setting where every question is welcome. The program ends with a personal capstone: every participant builds an AI workflow for their own life and presents it at a showcase and certificate ceremony. The curriculum moves through four phases: Computer Fundamentals (Weeks 1&ndash;3), Understanding AI (Weeks 4&ndash;6), Applying AI to Your Life (Weeks 7&ndash;9), and Capstone (Week 10).<ul fr-original-style="" id="isPasted" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Format:&nbsp;Fully virtual, live instruction (Google Meet)</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Schedule:&nbsp;Once per week, 60 minutes per session, 10 weeks</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Launch:&nbsp;August 2026 (Cohort 1)</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Cohort size: ~20 participants</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Audience:&nbsp;Adults, parents, and professionals &mdash; no tech background required</li></ul> Reboot is part of the Coding in Color AI Academy, the same program family that has delivered measurable gains in technical knowledge and confidence for hundreds of Arizona students and teachers.&nbsp;
