The Colonial Theatre is pleased to announce that its 2026 Golf Benefit will be held on Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 at the Misquamicut Club. The Colonial Theatre's Endurance Campaign for Lasting Theatre in Westerly, Rhode Island

🌟 Help us keep Theatre Free in Westerly, RI! 🌟We are writing to request your support for The Colonial Theatre&rsquo;s Summer 2026 Theatre Internship Program and this year&rsquo;s festival of theatre in Wilcox Park. Would you kindly consider a generous gift? This summer, The Colonial Theatre will present a mainstage production of Jen Siverman&rsquo;s, The Roommate. The show is in rehearsals now starring two alums of the Colonial Theatre, Lori Evans and Lee Fitzpatrick and is directed by our artistic director Marion Markham. To close out our summer play festival in Wilcox Park, we continue our reading series with Marion directing Merry Wives&hellip; by resident dramaturg, Robert Durwood Madison. Both productions will have curtain times at 6pm. Along with these productions, the Colonial will once again offer our paid Theatre Internship Program. WE developed the internship program in the summer of 2021. We have five interns joining us this summer. Four interns are coming to Westerly from as far away as Texas. They&rsquo;ve all shown the beginning promise of a theatre career in the high schools and colleges that they attend. They&rsquo;ll be working alongside professional theatre workers, and the intern program is supported with master classes in Acting, Directing, Stage Management, Production Management, Design, Front of House and more. Having served as an integral part of professional theatrical productions, interns will move on with valuable training and experience, confidently positioning them to pursue their chosen career.&nbsp;With your contribution...<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">The Colonial Theatre brings world-class, professional theatrical productions to the southwestern Rhode Island community.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Colonial Theatre performances remain 100% FREE TO THE PUBLIC.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Interns receive hands-on training and master classes from professional mentors.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Young adults pursuing a future in the Performing Arts receive their first professional job, a major step forward in their chosen career path.</li></ul>&nbsp;We hope that you will find these efforts worthy of your support and that you&rsquo;ll be able to join us this summer for a performance of The.
