Please register here for 1 of 2 free tours, 11am or 1pm. &nbsp;Each tour can accommodate 12 guests. &nbsp;Pendleton has blocked these 2 tours for our chapter. Please arrive at the Mill 30 minutes before your tour.&nbsp;

Field Trip to Pendleton Woolen Mill

Travel independently or carpool with other attendee(s) to the Latimer Quilt &amp; Textile Center in Tillamook for a relaxing, self-guided visit.&nbsp; At the center, you can explore historic and contemporary quilts, the weaving room, exhibits of the art of regional artists, and attend an optional Quilt Turning Session (if registered). The museum is open 10am to 4pm. Please register here for free to let us know if you will be visiting the center on this field trip and to sign up for a Quilt Turning Session. This allows us to give the center expected counts. The Quilt Turning Session is at&nbsp;12:00-12:30pm. Please arrive before 12 Noon if you sign up for the quilt turning. If there are more than 10 people, there will be a 2nd turning session at 12:30 - 1:00pm. Improv Roses Workshop&nbsp;April 4, 2026 1:00&ndash;4:30pm &nbsp; Improv Roses Workshop with Jill Huntington focuses on improvisational foundation piecing as a creative, accessible method for quilters, garment sewers, and handbag makers to explore spontaneity, color play, and modern composition. You will make a rose block to take home. Improv Roses Workshop

Learn how to improve the fit of your clothing with professional alteration techniques in this hands-on educational session led by Sheila Lester. With 17 years of experience in the garment alteration industry, Sheila brings practical knowledge and real-world insight into how ready-to-wear garments are constructed and how they can be altered for a better fit. The first half of the class will include a lecture and live demonstration covering common alteration techniques for both ready-to-wear and handmade garments. Topics include hemming, dart placement, waist adjustments, and working with a variety of fabrics and garment types such as dresses, skirts, tops, jackets, and pants. (especially pants that are too long) After a short break, participants will have the opportunity to bring one or two garments and learn how to properly assess fit and mark alterations using pins. No sewing machines are required; sewing will be completed at home. A question-and-answer session will conclude the class.
