The Committee for Affordable Bay Area Transit advocates for fair and accountable public transit funding, opposing unaccountable tax measures while promoting a sustainable transit system that adapts to the community's needs.

For years, tax measures passed here without much of a fight. Nobody showed up to argue the other side. That has changed. We are organizing to defeat the November transit sales tax across five counties and we intend to win. While we all support functional public transit, we can no longer hand blank checks to unaccountable agencies that have burned through billions in post-pandemic aid while refusing to adapt to our new reality. Defeating this tax is only the first step. What we are building is meant to outlast a single election. We would rather explain that part in person.
