We’re launching our annual fundraiser to provide scholarships for our week-long music camp for teenagers. Teen Camp is one of the most impactful programs we offer at Community Music School of Santa Cruz. Here are some reasons why kids love Teen Camp: Teens immerse themselves in music for a full week, surrounded by nature.They build friendships with peers who share their passion.They learn from incredible teachers, growing as musicians and individuals.They leave inspired—sometimes even transformed. For many, it’s life-changing.At the very least, they have an unforgettable timeWe do everything we can to keep costs manageable for families, and offer both full and partial scholarships. This year, enrollment has nearly doubled compared to last year—which is thrilling news! At the same time, scholarship requests have tripled.Unlike many nonprofits, Community Music School doesn’t rely on federal or state grants, which means we’ve been spared recent devastating cuts. But it also means we rely entirely on our local community. We are hyper-local: we serve local kids, aided by the generosity of people like you, and a few local charities.The cost of a partial scholarship is $750; the cost of a full scholarship is $1350 – but any amount helps, and makes a direct impact. With your help, we can provide scholarships to all those who've requested them, providing kids the opportunity to share the Teen Camp experience, regardless of income level.
