&iexcl;&Uacute;nete a la Colaboraci&oacute;n Riverways el s&aacute;bado 12 de septiembre para nuestro segundo Gran Remo anual! Comenzando en el Parque Pyne Poynt, el Desaf&iacute;o de Dos Ciudades, Un R&iacute;o es un recorrido de 11 millas en el r&iacute;o Delaware entre Camden, NJ y el Parque Pleasant Hill en el noreste de Filadelfia. Los remeros en embarcaciones no motorizadas (es decir, kayaks, canoas, tablas de paddle surf, etc.) navegar&aacute;n con la marea hacia el norte desde Camden a Filadelfia con un cruce asistido por la Guardia Costera cerca del Puente Tacony-Palmyra. La Gran Paleta: Dos Ciudades, Un Río

Join Riverways Collaboration on Saturday, September 12th for our second annual Big Paddle! Starting at Pyne Poynt Park, the Two Cities, One River Challenge is an ~10.5-mile paddle on the Delaware River between Camden, NJ and Pleasant Hill Park in Northeast Philadelphia. Paddlers in non-motorized boats (i.e. kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards, etc.) will ride the tide north from Camden to Philly with a Coast Guard assisted crossing near the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. Rest stops and on-water support will be available throughout the day, as well as shuttles from Pleasant Hill Park to take paddlers to the starting location at Pyne Poynt Park. The Big Paddle serves to highlight the importance of equitable access to clean, healthy waterways in both Philadelphia and Camden&rsquo;s communities by empowering people of all backgrounds and comfort levels to get on the water and explore their cities from a new perspective. With rest stops located along the Tidal Delaware River Trail, the paddle also aims to introduce participants to new spaces and places to engage with nature and their waterways.&nbsp; The event will conclude with a celebration at the finish line with partner organizations from both cities, as well as some water ice and refreshments! Looking to support in other ways? Volunteers are also needed, both on and off the water! If you&#39;re a seasoned paddler, join us as a safety paddler. Or, if you&#39;d rather stay dry, apply to help with setup or logistics. The Big Paddle: Two Cities, One River

In partnership with the&nbsp;<a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.delawareriverwaterfront.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Delaware River Waterfront Corporation</a>, join&nbsp;<a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.riverways.org" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Riverways</a>&nbsp;for a free* trip on the Delaware River, beginning near Cherry St Pier.&nbsp; Paddle with friends and neighbors as the sun sets and see our city from a new perspective. Each paddle is a chance to slow down, connect with nature, and learn the multifaceted history of the Delaware River and Philadelphia.&nbsp; These paddles are beginner friendly, covering 2-3 miles each paddle. No swimming or kayaking experience is needed; we&rsquo;ll provide basic guidance, safety, and all necessary gear for your trip. You must be 12+ years old to kayak with us. Have your own boat and want to join the trip? You can also sign up below! Please note: you MUST have a life jacket to participate. You will be required to organize transportation of your own equipment. Register below to reserve your spot and help us care for the river together! *A $5-10 donation is required to hold your spot in the paddle due to limited availability of space and gear.&nbsp;Fees will be refunded upon arrival for paddle.
