DADE CITY HERITAGE & CULTURAL MUSEUM, INC

The Dade City Heritage & Cultural Museum preserves local history through education and community engagement, focusing on the restoration of the Spencer-Dayton house and promoting cultural heritage in Dade City.

The Dade City Heritage & Cultural Museum will be hosting the Grand Heritage Ball this November, Saturday the 14th, 5 p.m - 10 p.m (early access will be available with VIP ticket purchases). We’re hosting this fundraiser to continue our efforts to preserve the Spencer-Dayton house, situated at 37701 Meridian Ave (adjacent to Price Park). Hettie Spencer, the first postmistress of Dade City, was the original owner of the home, initially situated in Lake Pasadena. Constructed in the late 19th century, the house was relocated to its current location in 1904 by Spencer. Mr. Dayton, a renowned historian and Dade City attorney, owned the home from 1972 until his final year, 2025. We hope to partner with our local Dade City business owners and residents to achieve our goal of preserving this house through various fundraisers, including our First Annual Grand Heritage Ball. Come and celebrate with us for an evening filled with Regency and Victorian attire, food, drinks, a silent auction, and a live quartet. Guests will have access to the beautiful gardens of the Dade City Garden Club, and each guest will receive a commemorative invitation and keepsake. VIP access includes early entry to the gardens with photographs at dusk, a commemorative champagne glass and signature drink, and an announcement presenting you to the ball. Early Bird ticket pricing is only available until July 31st.
