LXCL:The Dallas-Fort Worth Tuskegee Alumni Club fosters community and supports students pursuing education at Tuskegee University. Through scholarships, fundraisers, social and service events, we celebrate the legacy of Tuskegee and empower our future leaders.

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, we return for year two of the Southern Soul Scholarship Brunch anchored by our 2026 theme, Engineering &amp; Innovation.&nbsp; What to expect:🎤 Keynote Address by Dr. Lonnie G. Johnson — Tuskegee alumnus, former NASA engineer, holder of 100+ U.S. patents, and the visionary mind behind the iconic Super Soaker®. Dr. Johnson's story is the living embodiment of what's possible when a Tuskegee education meets innovation and discipline. 🎓 Presentation of the 2026 DFWTAC Scholarship Recipients — Meet the next generation of Booker's Kids: DFW area students whose Tuskegee journeys you are helping to fund. 🍽️ A Curated Brunch by Chef's Knife Catering — Soulful, beautifully prepared, and served alongside the conversation, community, and connection that only the Tuskegee Family can deliver. Whether you're a proud alum, a supporter, or a believer in the power of an HBCU education, your seat at this table strengthens our efforts to provide financial assistance to our DFW students at Mother Tuskegee. On Saturday, April 5, 2025, the Dallas&ndash;Fort Worth Tuskegee Alumni Club (DFWTAC) hosted our inaugural Southern Soul Scholarship Brunch and raised over $23,000. Every dollar raised was awarded directly to deserving DFW area Tuskegee students through merit and need based scholarships and emergency financial assistance. One hundred percent to students.&nbsp;On Saturday, July 25, 2026, we will host year two, anchored by our theme, Engineering &amp; Innovation, and headlined by keynote Dr. Lonnie Johnson. We are aiming higher this year. With your partnership, we will award more scholarships, in larger amounts, to more DFW-area students attending Tuskegee University.&nbsp;As we welcome alumni, students, family, and friends for an afternoon of inspiration and celebration, we invite business owners to make their mark on this milestone event through sponsorship or by purchasing an advertisement in our souvenir journal.* Please find your fit and stand with us in advancing the Tuskegee legacy through our future Golden Tigers.&nbsp; *Our full-color souvenir journal will be available in both print and digital formats to attendees and shared across our website and social channels. Up for bid: three original 1990s Super Soakers personally signed by the inventor, Tuskegee&#39;s own Dr. Lonnie Johnson, former NASA engineer, holder of 100+ patents, and this year&#39;s brunch keynote speaker plus premium Texas Rangers Lexus Club ticket packages at Globe Life Field. Welcome to Shaping Your Destiny: Your College and Career Journey Starts Here! College comes with a lot of questions. What should I major in? What does that career actually look like day to day? How does admissions really work? And most importantly... HOW are we paying for this?&nbsp; The Shaping Your Destiny Lunch &amp; Learn is back again to provide DFW area students with answers to these questions. 🎓 COLLEGE TO CAREER PANEL: Before picking a major, students need to see where it leads. Our panel brings together professionals in: &nbsp;Veterinary Medicine, Architecture, Biology, Supply Chain Management, Aerospace Engineering, and Health Science. They&#39;ll talk honestly about what it took to get there and what they wish they&#39;d known before starting college. 📋 ADMISSIONS 101 with Dr. RELIUS &quot;RAY&quot; JOHNSON: Dr. Dr. Johnson is a higher-education and Student Affairs leader whose career has centered on student success, engagement, assessment and the college transition experience. He currently serves as Director of Data Analytics, Training &amp; Assessment for Student Affairs at The University of Texas at Dallas and previously led New Maverick Orientation at UT Arlington, including orientation programs for entering freshmen and other new students. That means families are learning from someone who understands what happens before students arrive on campus AND what helps them successfully navigate college once they get there.&nbsp; 💰 SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP WITH GABRIELLE MCCORMICK: What if your student approached scholarships with an actual strategy instead of simply searching and hoping? Gabrielle McCormick knows firsthand what scholarships can make possible. She graduated from college debt-free with both her bachelor&rsquo;s and master&rsquo;s degrees and shares that scholarships and other opportunities are helping fund her doctoral education. Today, she serves as Chief Education Officer and Chief Technology Officer of Scholarship Informer and has built her work around helping students and families understand how to make college more affordable. Three parts. Two expert presenters. One afternoon that can genuinely change how students and parents approach college and pay for it. For Students: FREE. This event is our gift to you as you prepare for your future!For Parents: A small registration fee of $15 helps us provide food and beverages for everyone.
